The Miss Cardinal Scholarship Program is a local competition within the Miss America Opportunity. Our titleholders represent us in the Miss Indiana and Miss Indiana’s Teen competition with the goal of representing Indiana at Miss America and Miss America’s Teen. The Miss Cardinal Scholarship Program is an OPEN preliminary competition, which means anyone throughout the state who meets the eligibility requirements is able to compete.

The Miss America Opportunity is recognized as the largest provider of scholarship assistance to young women in the world. The public perception of Miss America is often that it’s a one-night telecast, but in reality it’s so much more. This unique opportunity is a year-round program of “Style, Service, Scholarship and Success” – representing the four points of the Miss America crown. Participants acquire life long skills while earning scholarships, meet other like-minded women, cultivate their own personal style, and engage within their communities.

In order for a young woman to compete in the Miss Indiana Program, they must have won a local program just like ours who sends contestants to Zionsville, IN, for the state competition in June each year. Indiana sends one of our finest ladies to compete for the title of Miss America, where over $45 million dollars in scholarships are made available to the 51 state titleholders.
